What can Gurubay do for me?

Is it paid?

It is possible to use Gurubay 100% free.

By using Gurubay, you benefit from many features, including an integrated online payment system (Mangopay).

The 7% commission (for the Zen plan) or 2.5% commission (for the Pro plan) applies only in the case of credit card payments via our module - and not on standard payments (bank transfers, checks, cash...)

By disabling online payments for your clients, you can therefore use the platform at no cost with the Zen plan.

What is the share of bank fees in the commissions?

The actual bank fees charged by our partner are included in the commissions mentioned above.

Who can register and give lessons on Gurubay?

Gurubay was created for independent teachers in the sports and wellness sector. Are you a yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, or fitness coach? You're in the right place!

How do courses and course requests work?

Two options are available to you:

Create a class session from the calendar and share it with your students
Simply provide your availability and let your students request class sessions

I want to sign up and start teaching classes. How does it work?

It's simple, to register click on create an account and select the checkbox I want to give courses in the form. A few documents will then be requested (ID, diploma..). Once your account is verified, your profile will be visible and you will be able to create your courses and enjoy all the features of Gurubay.

How can I modify my personal information?

How are the courses paid to me?

Within 48 hours following the course, the Gurubay team will take care of sending your money via bank transfer. Go to my account, section "payment method" to link your bank account.

Is there a pricing framework?

You decide the price of your courses. Consider your training, experience, and the competition in the market.

How does the retirement feature work?

This feature allows you to create your retreats completely tailored to your needs: location, accommodation options, photos, it’s all there! This feature also allows you to manage the payment of the deposit via our payment terminal during the booking.

Does the student pay the entire pension or just the deposit?

The student only pays the deposit to reserve their spot at your retreat. For the rest of the payment, it is up to you to choose how you would like the remainder of the booking to be settled.

What is the commission for pensions?

The commission is only 9% of the amount of the deposit (bank fees included). For example, other retreat booking platforms charge between 15% and 20% commission on the total booking.

Is the cancellation policy customizable?

Absolutely! It is the teacher who decides how much time he gives his students to withdraw.

Can I share the link to the retreat on my social networks?

Absolutely. Just like standard courses, your retreats are perfectly shareable across all social networks.

How to cancel a class?

You can cancel a course by deleting it from your calendar.

Can my students cancel their reservation?

A student can cancel free of charge up to according to the cancellation policy you have chosen.

Can I change information related to a course (locations, prices, times...)?

As long as no student has enrolled, you can delete the existing course and create a new one. Do you already have one or more enrolled? Write to them to inform them about any changes related to the course.

Is it possible to disable offers for certain courses?

When you create a course from your calendar, select advanced options and answer no to the question do your offers apply to this course?. The different configured offers (discounts, packages, and referral credits) will be disabled for this course.

Offers and discounts do not apply to on-demand courses.

I want to give in-person classes, but I don't live in a big city. Is it still possible to use Gurubay?

No problem! Whether you live in the city, suburbs, or countryside, you can use Gurubay to manage your business. You will have the opportunity to create places to teach all over France!

Why does Gurubay ask me for personal information or information related to my self-employment?

As you know, with Gurubay you can easily charge your customers and automatically transfer your revenue to your account. These operations are managed by our financial partner who is subject to the legal banking obligations of "Know Your Customer". These obligations are necessary to combat fraud, money laundering, and the financing of terrorism.

What is Gurubay?

Gurubay allows you to find certified yoga / Pilates teachers and personal trainers in just a few clicks - online or near you and at the best price.

How to create an account?

Simply click on create an account, choose "I want to take classes" and complete the registration form.

How can you be sure of the competence of the teachers?

Each registered teacher on the site has gone through our selection process. Identity, contact details, diploma, training – everything is thoroughly vetted by our teams. The platform's review system also allows our community to ensure the quality of the courses offered.

How to find a course near me?

You just need to click on find a course and choose the filters that suit you.

In which area can I book a Gurubay class?

Gurubay is available online today in Strasbourg, Toulouse, Lyon, Paris, and Marseille. More cities will be available soon!

I am not receiving emails, what should I do?

Check that our emails are not landing in your junk / spam folder. If you are having difficulties, please contact us.

What happens after booking a course?

You will receive an email confirming your course registration. You will have access from your area my bookings to the details regarding the upcoming course, as well as the possibility to exchange messages with your teacher.

How can I cancel a course I have registered for? What are the conditions?

You can cancel your participation in a course up to 2 hours (flexible) or 24 hours (semi-flexible) in advance for free. After this period, the course will be charged in full. To cancel your course, go to the course page from your bookings. On-demand courses are subject to the semi-flexible cancellation policy.

Can I get a refund for a package?

The purchase of a package from a teacher is theoretically neither cancellable nor refundable. You can of course reach out to your teacher via your messaging to discuss it.

I have booked a course with a credit (following the purchase of a package), what is the cancellation policy?

Whether you paid with your credit card or with credit, the cancellation policy remains unchanged. You can cancel your participation in the course free of charge up to 2 hours (flexible) or 24 hours (semi-flexible) before it starts.
